With competitors ramping up their sales & marketing efforts, we had to discount major product lines in order to push back. After some deliberation, in February 2022 Auto Parts Central ran a promotion on 205L oil drums to their trade customers (mechanics).

With competitors ramping up their sales & marketing efforts, we had to discount major product lines in order to push back. After some deliberation, in February 2022 Auto Parts Central ran a promotion on 205L oil drums to their trade customers (mechanics).

Understanding the Clients Needs

Our involvement included:

  • Brainstorming & formulating the plan

  • Brokering the deal with the supplier

  • Graphic design for delivery flyers

  • Organising the print of physical flyers to hand to customers

  • EDM (Electronic Direct Mail) campaign in addition to the physical flyers

  • Liaising with the Auto Parts Central sales team to ensure they were aware of the sale & its T&C’s

Results

  • Increase of 491% in supplied oil drums when compared to the average month of 2021

  • Increase of 40% in supplied oil drums over the remainder of 2022 (when compared to 2021)

  • Increase of 51% gross profit from oil drums over the remainder of 2022 (when compared to 2021)
