This week on “Getting into it with Loveridge Designs” We are going to cover the our Feedback Process

Hello Everyone,

Its Josh here from Loveridge Designs, this week on “Getting into it with Loveridge Designs” We are going to cover our feedback process and how you can implement it into your own production to enable faster and smoother collaboration.

Video production, like many creative projects, benefits from feedback and revisions. The primary goal of a video is to tell your story in the most effective and engaging way, which is why opportunities for feedback in the post-production process is essential for project success.

We have found that a three-stage approach works for the majority of clients. It provides a structure to incorporate your feedback into the final piece, while maintaining guidelines that make sure your video is completed on time and on budget.

STAGE 1: THE ROUGH CUT
The first step in creating a video is to sort the raw footage from the shoot day, select the best clips, and put them in sequence to tell the story. The rough cut will be basic, without any effects and with abrupt transitions between clips. Often, there will be image and text placeholders where essential graphics are built out and added as per the initial storyboard for the project.

STAGE 2: POLISHED CUT
The polished cut will be very close to the final version of your video. It will include the all requested changes from the rough cut. All graphics, Sounds and other elements will be implemented at this stage.

STAGE 3: FINAL CUT
The final cut is where we refine the details on the video. We will tweak the color grade, balance the audio, and make adjustments to the piece to ensure the delivered video meets our highest quality standards.

We also use a shared workspace where the client can review and comment on the piece in the cloud from any device, this gives complete transparency around the feedback process, making for a vastly more efficient project and production team.
“Putting all the cards on the table” lets the production company know your expectations, and work on a product that meets those goals. To get the best results, it’s vital that both parties keep constant open back and forth communication in order to be 100% aligned with each other.

Thank you very much for taking the time to watch the video I hope you found it both informative and engaging
Until next time.
